I've been considering adding commission tiers to my Patreon. I figure I should keep it simple, and/or start out small. Probably limit it to SFW items?

My question is, does anyone have any advice or suggestions for that?

Should I make someone wait to get their item until the month is over and they've paid? If I added it now for example, would that be a bad idea? I'm not sure if there would be some way to get the item and escape without paying.

Any thoughts or suggestions how much I should charge? I think someone once suggested $250 for a picture based on the Patreon of a much more popular artist. That seems unreasonably high for me, and more like what I'd try to ask for a comic page.

I'd start low in a normal situation just to gauge if anyone was interested at all, but if I limit the tiers to only a few people, it'll be hard to guess if there's enough demand to charge more. So I don't know if I should start higher, more like what I'd like to get? Then lower if there's no takers?

I could do commissions outside of Patreon, but there's advantages to doing it inside Patreon maybe? Commissioners might stick around after, it would make the Patreon look better having a higher total. It be more simple too.

https://www.patreon.com/lightfoot for the $2 tier and up, "A Day Off No Matter What" page 6 has been added. Which is a canon Pulse side-comic. (When I asked Patreon's what kind of Pulse comic they wanted, they said "beach comic").

Now, I'm half-way-ish through the comic, and I think I should switch to monthly polls about what side-comic I'm working on there. While I'm currently working on a comic, the first poll question is "should I continue A Day Off No Matter What or not". If the answer is yes, I'll continue working on it until the next poll at the start of the next month.

If the answer is no, then I'll ask for requests for what the different comic should be about, then have a poll there to choose which comic I work on for the rest of the month. At least so far, the comic can't have nudity, and I guess it being about Pulse characters isn't a requirement.

Just mentioning it here.

Patreon

1 min read

I've started up a Patreon for Pulse- https://www.patreon.com/lightfoot

I felt like there were a lot of ways to go with it, and I'd like your input- but instead of waiting for years longer considering things, I needed to just try something and see what happens.

I felt like making it Pulse-centric made the most sense because it's what I already make, and already has readers.

Before the end of the year, I'm trying to post anything I may have drawn but not posted here yet.  Some stuff I posted here, and others I didn't, so I'm fishing through my 2019 folder.
