I was looking at a deal site when I noticed this...

I haven't read through the whole tread yet. But I'm downloading something as a test. This is all 2005 era stuff I think, so it's possible some of it might not run on the newest systems. I'm sure there's something that anyone might find worth trying or might want. The Mac stuff won't run on any Mac using anything higher than Mac OS X 10.6 (because these are PPC apps, not Intel apps). Some people say the Windows stuff works even on Windows 8 if you mess with it. They are all also 32-bit, so they won't use more than a certain amount of ram.
....I've read the thread over again a few times before posting this it all seemed so surprising. Hopefully Adobe continues with this, it would be kind of cool for companies to release old software for free after a certain amount of time.

Downloads (and non-unique) serials appeared on Adobe's site, along with I assume some kind of message that even lots of tech sites thought it meant they were now free. They either meant it to only appear to those who owned CS2, or thought the honor system would work. Now they're complaining that people misunderstood.
