I made changes to the second suit here as the last minute. I figure that while the eight women who have suits like theirs are in sets of two, they won't remain the same colors.

I think they might be tested as individuals, so while for example Tabitha and Annie are blue now- Tabitha becomes red, and Annie stays blue. The same thing happens with the other girls, who instead of four different colors, they become 8 different colors.

Fun hole to poke: the mimic doesn't sense weak muscles, but by golly, intuitively knows how to engage the second form that Tabitha's been challenged to activate. No problem, of course.
Plot > snitty details.

That's possibly true, but maybe she's more in tune with certain aspects than others. Like she's better or more interested in their powers, and don't usually attempt to understand their wounds. She probably doesn't often fight with people she imitates. She's not as prepared to do more than mimic their powers.

Sure, sure. I spoke to give a good natured ribbing. Explanations are nice, but not the goal. If no one cares enough to point out IRrelevant 'flaws,' it suggests no one has cared to track the details.

Hearing your reasoning reminds me of the epistemic [knowledge gathering] ambiguity of power mimicry. It supports a deeper philosophical reflection than most super powers. Perhaps, because it is a meta power (like immunity to other powers)?

Chalk it up to someone whose own innate ability is to use powers she's not used to... therefore always looking at possibilities as opposed to this is what I've done before route... Well, at least that's how I'm looking at it... o.o

Zoe sort of rammed Tabitha's shields to touch her.

She'll turn back to normal if she doesn't touch Tabitha. Tabitha's shields activated, but that still counts.
