Do the pink shields look strange? I can't remember if this is the first time they've been shown in color (the only other chance might have been Annie's fight underwater). In the old Pulse they were this kind of pinkish color, but I'm not sure there was a good reason. Maybe red or yellow could have been better? Or does this look good?

I think you should keep with the pink, as it is a color not used very often. That makes the shields stand out nicer.

I think it's me, and except for the sharp edges the pink shields look like bubble gum. o.o
Personally I'd go with blue-ish or yellow for a more purely energy arc, but then again this isn't a realistic comic so... ?

The pink did jump out at me, made me think the characters were emitting some kind of energy burst.

I also wasn't sure who was doing what, but the again, that's exactly the point you're making when you have twins fight!

Yeah pink shields work here, they're obvious enough to show that they're there without drawing too much attention from the rest of the action.
